Official Rulebook

Check-in & Registration

All participants must check in at American Legion Post 223 during the Captains Party on Friday, June 12th at 6:00 PM. Eligibility requires proof of registration. Late entries will not be accepted once the tournament officially starts on Saturday at 5:00 AM.

Equipment & Tackle

Standard rod and reel only. No handlines, longlines, or nets. There are no restrictions on line weight or bait types. All equipment must comply with Massachusetts state fishing regulations. Any use of prohibited gear will result in immediate disqualification of the angler and crew.

Measurement & Submission

Fish must be measured with an official tournament-provided ruler. Photos must clearly show the total length from tip to tail with the tournament badge visible. Submissions must be texted to the official rule committee no later than 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 14th to be eligible for prizes.

Safety & Conduct

The safety of our veterans and participants is paramount. All vessels must be seaworthy and carry required safety gear. Unsportsmanlike conduct or aggressive behavior toward officials or other anglers is grounds for permanent banishment.

Environmental Standards

We follow strict catch-and-release practices for certain weight classes to preserve our local ecosystem. No littering or dumping of bait or fuel in tournament boundaries is permitted. Participants are encouraged to report any environmental violations observed during the event to help keep Duxbury waters pristine.
